Senior Program Manager, Non-Profit Initiatives

Our client, a highly respected non-profit organization dedicated to community development, is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Program Manager for their operations in Montreal, Quebec, CA. This crucial role involves overseeing the strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of key community programs designed to make a lasting impact. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in program management within the non-profit sector, with exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills. You will manage a team of program coordinators and staff, foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including beneficiaries, community partners, and funding bodies, and ensure programs are delivered effectively, efficiently, and in alignment with the organization's mission and values.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute strategic plans for assigned community programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Oversee the day-to-day operations of programs, including budgeting, resource allocation, and staff supervision. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of program staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and compliance with grant requirements. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with community partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders. Monitor program progress, collect data, and conduct evaluations to assess impact and identify areas for improvement. Prepare comprehensive reports for the board of directors, funders, and other relevant parties. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and funding guidelines. Identify and pursue new funding opportunities through grant writing and proposal development. Represent the organization at community events, conferences, and meetings. Troubleshoot and resolve challenges that arise during program implementation. Champion the organization's mission and values within the community and among staff.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Non-profit Management, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in program management within the non-profit sector. Demonstrated success in developing, implementing, and evaluating community-based programs. Strong understanding of non-profit operations, funding mechanisms, and governance. Exceptional leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences. Proficiency in project management tools and software. Strong budgeting and financial management skills. Experience in grant writing and fundraising is a significant asset. Knowledge of the social services landscape in Montreal, Quebec, is preferred. Fluency in French and English is required. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team-oriented environment. This role is based in Montreal, Quebec, CA, and requires the candidate to work on-site.
