Scrum Master, Jira Developer

• ** We need: A senior (3 + years) Scrum Master (The more certifications the better) who has experience working with Jira to support the senior scrum master being hired. The projects they will assist are AI, ML and Big Data projects so that experience is a huge plus. THE MANAGER WILL CONSIDER RELOCATION FOR CANDIDATES WHO ARE ALREADY IN CANADA AND CAN LEGALLY WORK IN CANADA NOW. **Candidates must have Long Projects/Good Tenure, Excellent communication skills and a State issued ID.

Required Location: Hybrid. Halifax, NS, Canada. 3 days a week.

Contract status:

C-C preferred or W2

Interview Required: Video

Candidates must be LOCAL to the Halifax, NS area and COMMUTE into the office THREE TIMES A WEEK.

Job Description:

· Facilitate agile events, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint review, and retrospectives.

· Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement among team members.

· Work with the team Lead, Product Manager and stakeholders to prioritize and groom the product backlog.

· Coach and mentor team members on agile principles, practices, and values.

· Monitor and communicate team progress, status, and impediments to management and other stakeholders.

· Promote and support Dev

Ops practices to ensure a smooth and efficient development and deployment process.

· Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and agile coaches across the organization to share best practices and improve overall Agile adoption.

· Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices related to Cloud Architecture and Agile development.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:

• Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team towards achieving their goals

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Knowledge of data lifecycle management, data security and access management, or cloud architecture principles and technologies

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field; or equivalent experience

Nice-to-have:

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent agile certification

• Experience working in a financial institution or other highly regulated industries

• Familiarity with Agile project management tools, such as Jira and Confluence
