Join our dedicated team at Independent Living Systems (ILS) as a Business Analyst specializing in Analytics & Actuarial Services. In collaboration with our affiliated health plans, Florida Community Care and Florida Complete Care, we strive to enhance the quality of life and maximize independence for vulnerable populations.

About the Role:

As a Business Analyst, you will play an essential role in aligning business necessities with data and analytic solutions. You will be tasked with meticulously analyzing current regulatory reporting standards, assessing business and data processes, identifying areas ripe for improvement, and articulating clear reporting requirements to advance regulatory reporting projects. Your expertise will contribute to creating efficient and effective regulatory reporting processes. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather business requirements, develop process maps, and drive process enhancements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Health, Public Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in gathering business requirements, process mapping, and designing data solutions.

  • Familiarity with data analysis tools including SQL and Excel.

  • Strong analytical thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving with keen attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills for conveying complex information to diverse audiences.

  • Relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business, Health, Public Administration, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience as a business analyst in healthcare or regulatory environments.

  • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

  • Experience in regulatory reporting.

  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards within the insurance industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business requirements, identify gaps, and develop analytical solutions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance processes.

  • Gather and document business requirements, translating them into technical specifications for analytics projects.

  • Effectively communicate complex analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders through reports and presentations.

  • Support data validation and quality assurance.

  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of implemented solutions, recommending adjustments as needed.

  • Work cross-functionally with IT, finance, and operations teams to align analytics initiatives with business goals.
