About the Role:

METRO Sourcing International is redesigning how decisions, processes and workflows operate across the value chain. We are looking for a high-calibre transformation professional who can independently frame complex business problems, redesign operational workflows and drive structural change across functions.

This is not a traditional IT Business Analyst role focussed primarily on requirements gathering or system implementation coordination. We are looking for someone who can think strategically, challenge assumptions, simplify complexity and shape how the organisation works in the future.

You will work on high-impact transformation initiatives involving process redesign, decision-making workflows, operating model evolution and cross-functional orchestration. The role requires strong business judgement, systems thinking and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments where problems are not clearly defined upfront.

What You’ll Do:

Business Problem Framing & Transformation Design

  • Analyse complex operational challenges, process inefficiencies and cross-functional friction points

  • Structure ambiguous situations into clear problem statements, priorities and actionable pathways

  • Redesign end-to-end business processes and future-state workflows across functions

  • Develop scalable operating approaches that improve coordination, transparency and decision quality

  • Challenge existing assumptions, ways of working and organisational inefficiencies

Cross-Functional Alignment & Decision Facilitation

  • Facilitate discussions across business functions to align priorities, decisions and execution approaches

  • Lead workshops and working sessions to build shared understanding and drive progress

  • Identify trade-offs, dependencies and organisational impacts across initiatives

  • Translate complexity into structured narratives and recommendations for leadership teams

  • Influence stakeholders across functions without relying on formal authority

Workflow & Digital Enablement

  • Work closely with Digital and functional teams to improve workflow effectiveness, process integration and operational visibility

  • Support the design of scalable digital workflows and decision-support capabilities

  • Identify opportunities to simplify coordination, reduce manual dependency and improve operational flow

  • Ensure business requirements and operational intent are clearly translated into workable solutions

Change & Operational Adoption

  • Support teams through process and workflow changes

  • Drive adoption of new ways of working and decision routines

  • Build trusted relationships across functions and act as a strategic partner throughout transformation initiatives

  • Help create a culture of ownership, clarity and operational agility

What We’re Looking For:

Experience & Background

  • 8+ years of experience in business transformation, process redesign, operational excellence, operating model improvement, strategic process management or related areas

  • Proven track record leading or shaping cross-functional business change initiatives

  • Experience redesigning future-state processes and improving how organisations operate at scale

  • Strong exposure to complex operational environments involving multiple stakeholders, functions or markets

  • Experience working alongside Digital or Technology teams to enable business transformation initiatives

  • Background in retail, sourcing, supply chain, operations or transformation-driven environments is advantageous

Thinking & Problem-Solving Capability

  • Strong logical reasoning and structured thinking

  • Able to quickly understand unfamiliar business domains, workflows and organisational dynamics

  • Strong systems thinking — able to connect processes, behaviours, decisions and business outcomes

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity without waiting for detailed direction

  • Able to simplify complexity and articulate clear recommendations with confidence

  • Willing to challenge assumptions constructively and push discussions beyond surface-level analysis
