Deep Pink Games
We are a small indie team making an unannounced multiplayer, voice-focused game built in Unity. The experience plays like a choose-your-own-adventure NSFW radio play or interactive erotic audio book. The visuals are exclusively on-screen text, buttons, menus, icons, etc. There is no character art, world art, etc.
We’re looking for a UI designer with good UX design knowledge to help us craft the visuals, animations, and interactions from the ground up. This is a collaborative role focusing on inventing new interactive interfaces, particularly around dialogue and on-screen text, rather than refining existing conventions.
Design Direction
UI the star of the game’s visuals, not a passive overlay, and is a responsive, tactile system with presence
Text is especially central, expressive, and visually dynamic rather than static or purely informational
The UI should match the sexy playfulness of the narrative and audio of the game
Responsibilities
Design a cohesive interface for a two-player audio-driven erotic game with original interaction systems that depart from standard dialogue choice buttons and subtitle conventions
Create expressive and dynamic text treatments that support tone, pacing, and player emotion
Build modular button systems and reusable UI components
Develop multiple-choice option layouts in varied configurations
Design icons and visual elements that communicate player expression
Collaborate closely with designers and programmers to bring experimental concepts into functional systems
We’re Looking For Someone Who
Has a willingness to experiment
Strong UI animator
Can prototype quickly and has an iterative mindset (design thinking process)
Is comfortable designing text-forward interfaces
Is completely comfortable with explicit sexual content, explicit language, queer narratives
Nice to Have
Experience designing for text/audio-driven or experimental games
Strong interest in kinetic/expressive typography, interaction design, motion graphics
Experience designing systems for player expression
Experience implementing in Unity
