A large bank managing close to $100 billion in AUM is seeking a hands-on, execution-focused research that supports product teams in understanding user needs, uncovering friction points introduced through platform transitions, and minimizing risks tied to user conversion and adoption.

Salary: Up to $125/hour

Responsibilities:
Design and lead qualitative research efforts, including user interviews, usability evaluations, and validation of concepts and workflows
Assess updated user journeys and processes to surface usability issues and areas of confusion
Collaborate cross-functionally with design, product, marketing, and engineering partners to define and prioritize research initiatives
Translate research findings into practical insights and recommendations that inform decision-making
Develop and deliver research outputs such as summaries, journey analyses, and opportunity frameworks
Provide clarity on user perception, trust factors, and behavioral shifts resulting from platform changes
Qualifications:
Background in user experience or design research
5+ years of relevant professional experience
Demonstrated expertise in qualitative methods and stakeholder facilitation
Experience working on complex, high-impact, or transaction-heavy digital experiences
Comfortable operating in fast-paced, delivery-oriented environments with shifting priorities
Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights in a compelling, digestible manner
Exposure to research involving third-party or white-label digital solutions
Familiarity with digital banking ecosystems (experience with Q2 or similar platforms is a plus)
Experience within financial services or large-scale enterprise environments
Understanding of service design or research at a systems level
Experience supporting large-scale transitions such as platform migrations or digital transformations
