Introduction
A well-established brand is seeking a creative and detail-driven Art Director / Graphic Designer to lead the visual execution of digital marketing campaigns across digital platforms and in-store environments.
This role is ideal for a conceptual thinker with a strong eye for design, layout, photography, video direction, and brand consistency. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing engaging creative content for social media, newsletters, in-store collateral, and broader marketing campaigns, while also providing art direction for photo and video shoots.
The position requires someone who can take a creative concept from initial idea through to polished final delivery, ensuring every piece of work is visually impactful, commercially relevant, and aligned with the brand’s identity.
Duties & Responsibilities
Concept Development & Art Direction
Conceptualise seasonal advertising campaigns in line with brand requirements and creative briefs.
Oversee the full creative process from initial brief through to final design and finished artwork.
Provide clear art direction for photography and video campaigns.
Collaborate with stylists, photographers, videographers, editors, retouching specialists, digital agencies, and content creators to ensure high-quality creative outputs.
Work closely with Buying, E-Commerce, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising teams to deliver campaign objectives.
Contribute to cross-functional discussions with professionalism, creativity, and integrity.
Act as custodian of the brand’s visual identity, ensuring consistency across all creative work.
Brief and liaise with relevant internal and external creative partners.
Design artwork for social media platforms, newsletters, in-store collateral, window displays, and paid digital campaigns.
Prepare final artwork, ensuring accuracy of formats, sizing, layout, and colours.
Create designs using Adobe In
Design, Photoshop, Canva, and other relevant platforms.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Relevant tertiary qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related creative field.
Minimum of 5 years’ graphic design experience, with exposure to art direction responsibilities.
Strong proficiency in Adobe In
Design and Photoshop, with working knowledge of Canva for quick-turnaround content creation.
A strong portfolio showcasing fashion, retail, or lifestyle campaigns, including both design and art direction work.
Proven experience creating digital content and social media campaigns within the fashion, retail, or consumer brand environment.
Confident directing photography, video, and content creation on set.
Certification or formal training in recognised design software would be advantageous.
Genuine passion for fashion, design, visual storytelling, and the creative arts.
