Job Description

Temple University Hospital is seeking a strategic and results-driven Sr Performance Excellence Manager to lead operational excellence initiatives across the organization. This role serves as a key steward of process improvement strategy, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, optimize workflows, and improve overall performance. The Sr Performance Excellence Manager will lead, manage, and execute Lean and Six Sigma initiatives from concept through implementation while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, TQM, PDCA, and related methodologies

  • Identify operational inefficiencies and develop scalable solutions to improve performance, quality, and productivity

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to drive project success and sustainable process improvements

  • Manage projects from initial assessment through implementation, monitoring, and evaluation

  • Build organizational capabilities by coaching teams and leaders on process performance management principles and improvement tools

  • Partner with leadership and technical teams to establish metrics, analyze data, and track improvement outcomes

  • Oversee data and technical staff engaged in Project Management Office (PMO) initiatives

  • Support change management efforts and drive adoption of process improvements across the organization

  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics to measure project effectiveness

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Master’s degree preferred

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in process improvement, operations, project management, or a related field required

  • 3+ years of experience leading and executing process improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, TQM, PDCA, or similar methodologies required

  • Demonstrated expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and Change Acceleration Process (CAP) required

  • Proven success leading large, cross-functional teams and driving projects to completion required

Preferred Certifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred
