Job Description

The Lead Aggregation Manager owns the performance, efficiency, and growth of all lead aggregators. This role is responsible for driving profitable outcomes across platforms like Yelp, Thumbtack, Angi, Networx, Nextdoor, Modernize, e

Local, and others—while ensuring spend is continuously optimized against measurable results.

This is a high-ownership, operator role. You will make frequent budget decisions across 30+ markets using imperfect data, manage vendors against clear performance expectations, and ensure lead quality and efficiency meet business targets.

What You’ll Do

Own Lead Aggregation Performance

  • Manage all lead aggregation channels across 30+ markets with full ownership of spend, volume, and ROI

  • Make frequent (often daily) budget allocation decisions based on performance signals, capacity, and marginal efficiency

  • Monitor and optimize core KPIs including:

  • Cost per lead (CPL)

  • Cost per booked job (CPB)

  • Contact rate

  • Booking rate

  • Revenue per lead

  • Identify inefficiencies and reallocate spend toward higher-performing sources, markets, or vendors

  • Align lead volume with operational capacity to maximize conversion and minimize waste

Manage Vendor Performance

  • Serve as the primary owner for all lead aggregation vendors (Yelp, Thumbtack, Angi, etc.)

  • Establish clear performance expectations across lead quality, volume, and efficiency

  • Lead regular performance reviews focused on measurable outcomes

  • Partner with vendors to improve targeting, pricing, and lead quality based on observed performance data

  • Address underperformance through structured feedback, escalation, or budget reallocation when needed

Monitor Lead Outcomes & Inform Quality

  • Track how aggregated leads perform after intake using key metrics such as:

  • Contact rate

  • Booking rate

  • Invalid or duplicate lead rates

  • Identify patterns that indicate:

  • Lead quality issues (low intent, poor match)

  • Data quality issues (bad phone numbers, duplicates)

  • Market or vendor-specific inconsistencies

  • Use these insights to:

  • Inform budget allocation decisions

  • Provide clear, actionable feedback to vendors to improve lead quality

  • Surface trends to internal teams for visibility

  • Maintain visibility into outbound performance without owning execution or strategy

Operate in Real-World Data Environments

  • Work across multiple data sources with inconsistencies, gaps, and delays

  • Build practical decision frameworks when data is incomplete

  • Reconcile performance across vendor reports, internal systems, and booking data

  • Identify meaningful trends and act quickly

Optimize at the Market Level

  • Understand performance variation across markets and adjust strategy accordingly

  • Shift budgets based on:

  • Market demand

  • Competition

  • Operational capacity

  • Vendor performance by region

  • Test new vendors, geographies, and lead types with a clear ROI focus

What You’ll Bring

Required

  • 3–4+ years in performance-driven roles (lead generation, paid media, marketplaces, or similar)

  • Experience managing budgets and making allocation decisions based on KPIs

  • Strong analytical ability—comfortable working with incomplete or messy data

  • Proven track record of improving efficiency metrics (CPL, CPB, conversion rates, etc.)

  • Experience managing external vendors or partners with accountability to performance

  • Ability to operate with high ownership and minimal oversight

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Experience with lead aggregation platforms (Yelp, Thumbtack, Angi, etc.)

  • Background in home services, local services, or multi-location businesses

  • Familiarity with call center environments (for performance context)

  • Exposure to lead routing, attribution, or call tracking systems

Key Attributes for Success

  • Strong ownership and accountability for results

  • Data-driven decision making with a practical, action-oriented mindset

  • Ability to communicate clearly and manage external partners effectively

  • Comfortable making frequent decisions in a fast-paced environment

  • Commercial mindset with focus on efficiency and ROI

  • Proactive in identifying and addressing performance gaps
