Your Role Purpose & Objective
hipages Group is an Australian-based marketplace business and the #1 place for households to connect with home improvement professionals. We have been in active for over 20 years and are an AXS ( stockmarket) listed business with double-digit revenue growth*.
The Acquisition team is seeking a SEM/Performance Marketing specialist to play a key role in driving users at both sides of the marketplace: households looking for home improvement experts and tradespeople seeking work. This role is a great opportunity for a motivated candidate with 2+ years experience to manage high-budget Google Ads campaigns and upskill across a range of other digital platforms as part of an advertising diversification push. You will be working with ex-Google, Microsoft, Amazon seasoned digital professionals with 1:1 training and mentoring opportunities.
The successful candidate will have to be self-driven, plan ahead, be curious to learn and upskill.

Your Experience
Strong knowledge of Paid Search (other biddable media channels a plus)
2+ years hands-on Google Ads experience managing Conversion-driving accounts.
Paid social experience preferred. Eg. Meta Ads
Competent with data analysis and spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets), including the use of pivot tables and common formulas (lookups, sumif/s, basic operations)

Reporting into Performance Marketing Lead (Sydney)
Working alongside the Senior Performance Marketing Manager (Manila) and Marketing Consultant (remote).
Key relationships:
Part of the Paid Acquisition team
Project-based work with the SEO team
Marketplace growth team including CRO lead, developers, product manager, designer and data team.
Broader marketing team
Technical Skills
Google Ads (including Editor) & Microsoft Ads
Basic use of Google Analytics 4 or equivalent other analytics platform
Intermediate Excel/Google Sheet skills
Prior or current experience with Tableau or Looker (preferred)
Ability to communicate technical SEM/PCC results and trends in simple terms
Responsibilities
Hands-on management and optimisation of Google Ads and Microsoft Ads (Bing) accounts
Routine reporting and light commentary
Work with the Senior Performance Manager to support with execution and reporting on SEM campaigns
Light admin: Manage monthly invoicing and record-keeping
Keep up to date with paid search best practices and strategies, and how hipages can trial new features or tactics
Contribute to other team projects and initiatives remaining flexible
Assist requests from the wider business including data, insights, or advertising support for new launches
Collaborate with key SEM vendors on recommendations or troubleshooting
Assist the Senior Performance Specialist with end-of campaign/test documentation
Success Profile
In the first 2 months, success looks like:
Understand how SEM is used at hipages to drive both sides of the consumer-tradie marketplace
Day to day management of SEM campaigns, spending to pre-planned budgets.
Develop a draft optimisation plan (as a minimum) to ensure ad investment and conversions are on target
In the following 3-6 months, success looks like:
Be autonomous with routine Account management, optimisation and reporting
Finalise and be well into the aforementioned optimisation plan
Be involved in at least 1-2 Google Ads tests and documented the outcome
Be comfortable reporting on results and why the results are they way they are
Upskilled in at least one other ad platform beyond Google Ads, Microsoft Ads (Bing)
