Role Type: SEO/GEO Specialist
The opportunity
The Search Engine/Generative Engine Optimization Specialist will be responsible for handling day-to-day tasks to support AI and SEO Discoverability. He/she will work directly with the SEO Assistant Director as well as our marketing stakeholders and act as the first point of contact for basic client or task-related GEO/SEO questions for our website, ey.com. He/she will be mining data for optimization opportunities, and building/optimizing content that enhances our brand, serves users and drives AI and organic traffic.
Your key responsibilities
Support the SEO/GEO strategy for EY.com
Report regularly on the success of our programs to leadership and marketing stakeholders
Develop SEO/GEO optimization strategies and monitor their execution
Measure and increase AI-driven and organic traffic, KW and Page Rank performance, mentions, citations via Conductor and Adobe Analytics
Mine data for opportunities and developing strategies and content to leverage those
Collaborate & communicate with external marketing stakeholders and drive projects forward
Review and present technical audits, issues and plans for implementation to stakeholders and page build teams
Train stakeholders on using Conductor, troubleshoot user issues, build workspaces
Educate stakeholders and team on basic GEO/SEO best practices and continue to learn industry GEO best practices
Identify missing or weak prompt/keyword coverage on priority topics and drive content creation
Maintain and regularly refresh keyword and prompt targets
Skills and attributes for success
Minimum 8 years in SEO support role
Strong experience working with SEO and content audit tools, such as Google Search Console, Conductor, Market
Muse, Screaming Frog, Content King, Ahrefs, SEMrush
Strong experience in website analytics tool, such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics 4 or other data mining tools
Strong communication and analytical skills to analyze large data set
Strong content strategy expertise in support of SEO/GEO goals
Basic knowledge of AI and GEO discoverability and best practices
Exceptional Microsoft Excel and PowerBI skills
Experience with HTML, CSS and Java Script
Experience with CMS tools such as AEM
Strong understanding of digital channels and content
Bachelor’s or master’s degree
To qualify for the role, you must have
Solid understanding of SEO best practices, including ranking factors, technical SEO, and current SEO trends
Understanding of GEO and AI discoverability
Understanding of digital content best practices
Strong communication and influencing skills
Strong project and time management abilities
Experience working with Global teams
