Brand & Content Lead

Z Lab makes sustainable sleep tools for premium hospitality, aviation and corporate clients. The business is founder-led, profitable and growing. We are looking for a Brand & Content Lead to help shape how Z Lab shows up in the world.

The role:

You will help manage how Z Lab appears across its key touchpoints: content for Instagram and Linked

In, copy across our website and partner materials, and the visual rhythm that makes the brand feel coherent and considered.

Much of the strategic foundation is already in place. We have a brand voice guide, content pillars and a developing visual language. What we need now is someone who can work confidently within that world, produce consistently, and bring fresh ideas that strengthen it.

You will work closely with the founder to turn product stories, client work, research, travel, design and sustainability themes into clear, elevated content.

You:

You have experience working with premium consumer brands. Hospitality, fashion, beauty, considered design, wellness or an adjacent category would all be relevant.

You have a strong visual eye. You can brief a designer, direct a photographer, work with existing assets, and curate imagery that holds a brand world together.

You write well and you write tight. You understand tonal restraint and know how to make content feel thoughtful, clear and elevated rather than generic.

This is a brand-led role, so we are looking for someone with strong taste, writing ability and visual judgement rather than a purely performance-marketing background.

You are organised, self-directed and comfortable running a content calendar without daily check-ins.

Details:

Starting on a freelance/contract basis at around two to three days per week, with a clear path to grow as the business expands. Based in Cape Town preferred, with remote/hybrid flexibility for the right person. Day rate dependent on experience.
