As a Trading Services Analyst within JPMorgan Chase, you will be responsible for reviewing and interpreting policies established by the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) Reputational Risk Committee, executing day-to-day controls to identify policy exceptions, promptly escalating those exceptions to relevant stakeholders for resolution, and reporting policy breaches through defined metrics to senior management and the Supervisory Transaction Management Office. You will also support global sales and trading activities and manage key reference data elements, including client ratings and portfolio complexity ratings, while conducting periodic recertification exercises in line with policy requirements.
Job responsibilities
Investigate exceptions and liaise with multiple teams across Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office and technology teams to get the exceptions resolved
Action and perform root cause analyses on new issues or control gaps
Escalate issues for any urgent matters or assistance
Overseeing the data gathering process, analyze the data and report MIS utilizing the various data source
Produce time sensitive daily reports with actionable data to Front Office, Middle Office, or Back Office for break resolutions
Provide detailed business control metrics to management on a daily basis
Take ownership of work, problems, clarify issues / objections, and ensure data integrity, accuracy and completeness
Build and maintain strong working relationships with all global teams and be an SME on Reconciliations and Controls
Continuously participate in projects involving, new product rollout, new system implementation, process improvements, etc.
Ensure all controls and checks are completed on End of Day
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
Graduate with minimum 4 years of experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power
Point)
Strong logical/analytical mindset with the ability to think outside the box and challenge the status quo ; Should be able to self-learner and highly motivated
Need to have attention to detail in order to identify risks proactively and provide methods of mitigation with timely escalation
EMEA [1 PM / 2 PM IST to 10 PM / 11 PM IST]. Cross regional coverage to be provided. Ability to work stretch hours in case of business requirement.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
Degree holder in Finance / Economics or other related disciplines (preferable)
Product knowledge - thorough understanding of the end to end transaction cycle for derivative products (preferred) ; Process flow understanding - ability to understand current flows and linkage between systems and think how the process can be improved/streamlined
VBA/Alteryx/Tableau/Fintech is a plus
At least 2 years in an investment banking environment, preferably in Middle Office / Trade Support
