About the Role
Maleda Tech is seeking an Advanced Analyst to join a dynamic Marketing team with our tech client. In this role, you will work with a cross-functional team of highly technical stakeholders to drive impactful results through data analysis. You will be involved in the end-to-end project lifecycle, from problem definition to creating dashboards for sharing insights that solve high-priority business problems.
Duties
The Staff Advanced Analyst will lead measurement and analytics for the Guest Engagement team, which delivers organic marketing (email and push campaigns) to existing guests. This role partners closely with marketing managers and a marketing director to drive a high-volume program of campaigns and experiments that shape how we engage guests across their lifecycle.
The ideal candidate has a strong data and analytics background paired with deep experimentation expertise. This person is curious, proactive, positive, and detail- and solutions-oriented. The right candidate is comfortable in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple priorities and firm timelines. They will have a proven record of solving complex and ambiguous measurement problems in close collaboration with marketing, product, engineering, and data science partners. This person will use their experience with data and insights storytelling to influence strategic programs through clear and concise communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You must be comfortable working autonomously once ramped up, proactively identifying new analyses, and collaborating effectively with stakeholders across marketing, marketing ops, and occasionally marketing tech engineering.
A Typical Day
Design and run experiments end to end, including targeting decisions, measurement plans, and experiment readouts, for high-volume guest email and push campaigns
Conduct strategic deep dives and advanced analyses, including guest segmentation and exploration of new parts of the guest lifecycle, to extract actionable insights that inform the roadmap
Use internal tooling to build campaign audiences and to set up and review experiments
Produce focused reporting that helps the team understand campaign performance and program-level trends
Partner with marketing managers, marketing directors, marketing ops, and cross-functional teams to translate business questions into measurement plans and rigorous analyses
Communicate findings and recommendations through clear written readouts and verbal storytelling, influencing decisions made by senior stakeholders
Leverage AI tooling (e.g., Claude Code) to write SQL, accelerate analysis, and scale documentation
Skills
Your Expertise:
9+ years of analytics, data science, or measurement experience (flexibility for staff-level candidates with fewer years, or rock-star senior candidates close to staff)
High proficiency in SQL for data analysis (must-have)
Strong fluency with experimentation: A/B testing, experimental design, and causal inference (must-have)
Proficiency in Python for analysis work; R is acceptable as an alternative
Strong product analytics and experimentation background; comfort with offline modeling for analysis purposes (this is not a model-building role)
Recent marketing or growth domain experience strongly preferred (ideally within the last several years; growth-hacking team experience also counts). Exceptional product analytics candidates may be considered without direct marketing experience.
Marketplace experience is a plus; experience at top tech companies (e.g., Meta, Uber, Google, Door
Dash, Lyft, Amazon, OpenAI, Anthropic, Netflix, Linked
In, Spotify, Booking, Expedia, Stripe, Shopify, Instacart, Databricks, Disney, Etsy, and similar) is helpful
Comfortable using AI to write SQL, run analysis, and produce documentation; experience with Claude Code is a plus
Exceptional business acumen, strategic thinking skills, and the ability to make informed judgments
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner to technical and non-technical audiences
Proven track record of working seamlessly across different teams and partners
Positive, collaborative personality and a commitment to ensuring all activities undertaken are as successful as possible
Extremely capable of independently structuring and managing fast-paced and sometimes complex workflows and priorities
Required:
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD required. Flexibility for candidates with 10+ years of experience at top technology companies.
Ability to work independently with stakeholders, write requirements, and solve analytical problems in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
Strong ability to serve as a liaison between business and technical teams
Excellent teamwork skills and ability to build relationships at all levels
Highly Preferred:
9+ years in analytics or data science, with depth in marketing and/or growth analytics.
Analysis that drives action: Your insights directly shape what teams build, test, and invest in — you influence roadmaps and prioritization at the Director level.
Strong experimentation skills: Experience designing and interpreting A/B tests and measurement frameworks for multi-channel marketing programs.
Excellent communicator: Able to distill complex findings into clear, compelling recommendations for senior stakeholders. Comfortable pushing back when the data

Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week (8 hours/day, 5 days/week)
Pay Rate Range: $100-$128 per hour
