Your missionAs Head of DevOps, you will lead the evolution of 1inch’s infrastructure and platform engineering capabilities, building resilient, secure, and scalable systems that support our global DeFi ecosystem.

You will guide a high-performing engineering team responsible for multi-cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes operations, observability, and developer enablement.

This role combines strategic leadership with deep technical expertise, driving automation, reliability, and operational excellence across the organisation. You will play a key role in empowering engineering teams through self-service infrastructure, standardised deployment workflows, and secure-by-design practices while ensuring our systems remain highly available, cost-efficient, and compliant with industry standards.

What You’ll DoDefine and execute the DevOps and platform engineering strategy aligned with company objectivesLead, mentor, and scale a high-performing infrastructure engineering teamOversee multi-cloud Kubernetes environments and drive Infrastructure as Code and GitOps adoptionBuild and improve self-service tooling for infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and secrets managementEstablish and maintain SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs for critical production systemsDrive observability, monitoring, incident response, and post-mortem processes across the organisationImplement and enforce security best practices aligned with ISO 27001 and SOC 2 frameworksOptimise infrastructure performance, scalability, and cloud cost efficiency across providersStandardise engineering workflows and operational processes to improve developer productivityWho You Are8+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering roles3+ years of experience leading and managing engineering teams in high-growth environmentsStrong expertise in Kubernetes, including cluster management, networking, and securityExtensive hands-on experience with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and GitOps practicesProven experience managing multi-cloud infrastructure environments such as AWS, GCP, and HetznerDeep understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and service mesh technologiesSolid experience with observability tooling covering metrics, logging, and tracingStrong knowledge of CI/CD security best practices and secure infrastructure designAbility to balance long-term strategic planning with hands-on technical problem-solvingExperience coaching senior engineers and building scalable engineering processesNice to havesExperience working with blockchain infrastructure, Web3, or DeFi ecosystemsFamiliarity with event-driven architectures and messaging systems such as Kafka or NATSExperience with chaos engineering and resilience testing practicesKnowledge of CDN optimisation and edge computing architecturesStrong understanding of the 1inch ecosystem and the broader Web3 landscape1inch is an equal opportunity employer.
