Executek International is seeking a motivated and organized Human Resource Recruiter to join our growing team. The HR Recruiter will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment and supporting a wide range of HR functions, including employee onboarding, training coordination, health & safety initiatives, employee relations, and benefits administration. This role requires experience managing large-volume hiring in a fast-paced environment while building strong candidate pipelines for multiple client locations. Knowledge of the security industry is considered a strong asset.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for full-time, part-time, and contract positions, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and reference checks.
- Coordinate and manage high-volume hiring initiatives for multiple clients and locations.
- Develop creative and cost-effective recruitment strategies to build a diverse pipeline of qualified candidates.
- Proactively source passive candidates through social media, online platforms, networking, and industry connections.
- Maintain current knowledge of recruitment trends, staffing strategies, and compensation data.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates throughout the hiring process to ensure a positive candidate experience.
- Partner with management teams to understand staffing needs and provide high-quality candidates to support operational success.
- Provide exceptional customer service and ongoing communication to internal and external stakeholders regarding recruitment activities and hiring status updates.
- Represent the company at career fairs, networking events, and recruitment initiatives to promote brand awareness.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community colleges and training institutions as recruitment channels.
- Coordinate recruitment administration, employee documentation, and onboarding processes.
- Conduct new hire orientations and training sessions.
- Ensure employee files and HR records are maintained accurately for both active and inactive employees.
- Support health & safety initiatives and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Participate in all required training and certification programs.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), Employment Standards legislation, and other applicable laws.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support business operations.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in high-volume full-cycle recruitment.
- Previous experience recruiting within the security industry is considered a strong asset.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or completion of a Human Resources program.
- CHRP designation or working toward a professional HR designation is considered an asset.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities.
- Self-motivated with strong initiative and the ability to work independently.
- Highly organized with strong time management and multitasking skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to develop creative sourcing strategies for difficult-to-fill positions.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
- Working knowledge of employment-related legislation across Canada.
- Experience using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to generate recruitment reports and maintain accurate hiring records.
- Ability to work collaboratively across all organizational levels while remaining adaptable and flexible.
