A hands-on sales leadership role focused on field sales execution, team performance and commercial discipline within a fast-paced B2B services environment.
Our client is a well-established international B2B services organisation operating through a network-based, service-led commercial model. The business is fast-paced, field-oriented and highly focused on local sales execution, client conversion and team performance.
They are currently looking to hire a Sales Director based in Milan to support commercial performance across Italy by working closely with the sales teams, strengthening day-to-day execution, and ensuring the effective local implementation of the group’s commercial strategy.
Reporting directly to the Regional Sales Management, this is a highly operational and field-oriented leadership role.
The successful candidate will not be expected to define the overall commercial strategy for Italy, which is driven at group level, but will play a key role in translating that strategy into concrete local actions, improving sales effectiveness, supporting teams on the field and driving commercial results.
This role will suit a hands-on sales leader who enjoys being close to the business, coaching teams, improving execution and operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead, support and develop sales teams across Italy to improve performance, conversion and commercial disciplineStay close to day-to-day sales activity, pipeline management, client interactions and team performanceCoach and support sales managers and salespeople to improve execution and drive resultsTranslate group commercial priorities into practical and actionable local plansMonitor KPIs, reporting, pipeline visibility and conversion metrics to identify improvement opportunitiesDrive accountability, commercial focus and execution across the sales organisationWork closely with internal stakeholders to align around business priorities and customer needsRemain connected to the market and customers to support commercial growth opportunitiesCandidate ProfileFluent Italian and EnglishProven experience in B2B services environments, ideally within multi-site, network-based, high-activity or service-led commercial models.
Strong track record of driving sales growth, improving conversion rates and developing sales teamsHighly operational and hands-on leadership style with strong coaching and people management capabilitiesData-driven mindset with strong KPI and sales performance analysis skillsAbility to build and implement concrete action plans to improve commercial performanceComfortable operating within an international group structureResults-oriented, pragmatic and execution-focusedExperience in purely industrial, manufacturing, product-led or technical sales environments may be less aligned unless combined with a strong services and field sales leadership background.
