Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based backend services for eyewa s core platforms (e-commerce, OMS, POS, CRM integrations)

Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices used by web, mobile apps, and in-store systems

Own end-to-end delivery of features, from design to production rollout

Work on payment integrations, order lifecycle, refunds, and reconciliation flows

Collaborate with OPS, Supply Chain, and Customer Support teams to build reliable post-order systems

Ensure high availability, performance, and data consistency across systems

Review code, mentor junior developers, and raise overall engineering quality

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a strong ownership mindset

Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term platform scalability

Required Skills & Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on experience in Java (Java 8+)

Strong experience with Spring Boot / Spring Framework

Proven experience building microservices-based systems

Strong understanding of REST APIs, authentication, and system integrations

Experience with SQL & NoSQL databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL, MongoDB)

Hands-on experience with Hibernate/JPA

Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns

Experience working in high-traffic, transaction-heavy systems

Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows

Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset

Nice to Have

Experience with e-commerce platforms, OMS, POS, or logistics systems

Hands-on experience with payment gateways (Tamara, Stripe, Checkout, etc.)

Experience with Kafka / RabbitMQ

Exposure to AWS or cloud-native systems

Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes

Experience with Redis or caching strategies

Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, New Relic, etc.)
