About the Role
As GenAI redefines the global business landscape, Alibaba Cloud is at the forefront of this transformation. We are seeking a high-caliber, entrepreneurial GenAI Business Development Manager to spearhead our Model-as-a-Service (MaaS) and cloud growth in Dubai and the wider MEA region.
In this role, you will be the strategic bridge between cutting-edge AI technologies and enterprise commercial success. You will hunt for new logos in high-growth verticals, cultivate C-level relationships, and help organizations scale from foundational cloud infrastructure to advanced data and Generative AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Market Expansion & New Logo Acquisition
- Drive Growth: Proactively identify, target, and close new enterprise accounts within
key high-growth verticals: Media, Web3, AI startups, and Gaming.
- C-Suite Engagement: Independently initiate "Call High" strategies, mapping out decision-making chains to build trusted relationships with CTOs, CIOs, and CXOs.
- Value-Based Selling: Uncover deep customer pain points and articulate the concrete business value, ROI, and technical advantages of Alibaba Cloud’s advanced computing portfolio.
Deal Conversion & Strategic Partners
- hipsEnd-to-End Deal Ownership: Lead the complete sales cycle for mid-to-large enterprise accounts, from initial cold outreach and solution presentation to commercial negotiation and contract closure.
- AI Transformation: Partner with Solutions Architects (SAs) to design and pitch tailored technical solutions, guiding customers on their upgrade paths from IaaS to PaaS, big data, and GenAI frameworks.
- Ecosystem Leverage: Navigate and utilize partner networks and directories to scale market reach, manage customer expectations, and drive co-selling initiatives.
Account Optimization & Retention
- Scale Revenue: Drive upsell and cross-sell roadmaps within existing accounts to accelerate cloud resource consumption and ensure long-term retention.
- Voice of the Customer: Act as an internal advocate, collaborating with cross-functional product and engineering teams to refine Alibaba Cloud’s offerings based on local market feedback.
Who You AreBasic Qualifications
- 5+ years of successful B2B/B2G sales or pre-sales experience within the Cloud Computing, SaaS, or AI industries.
- Proven track record of scaling revenue across Key Accounts (KA) and establishing enterprise partnerships from scratch.
- Strong familiarity with large-scale customer stack migrations and cloud architecture.
- Exceptional business acumen with the ability to speak fluently to both high-level business executives (C-level) and deep technical stakeholders.
- Fluency in English; strong negotiation, presentation, and commercial structuring skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience working within a core global cloud competitor (e.g., AWS, Azure, GoogleCloud).
- Deep domain expertise or an existing network within the Media, Web3, Gaming, or AI verticals in the United A Emirates/MEA market.
- High familiarity with Generative AI concepts, LLMs, and Model-as-a-Service (MaaS) business models.
