Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts is seeking aPart-Time Videographer and Editorto join our in-house video team. This role is focused on hands-on production and post-production, capturing and shaping compelling visual stories rooted in live, event-based programming across short-form documentaries, fundraising content, artist features, and social-first video.
The ideal candidate is equally skilled in production and editing, with a strong command of Adobe Premiere and a clear understanding of platform-native storytelling. You will film, edit, and deliver high-quality video content optimized for social, digital, and internal use. This role requires strong technical ability, editorial instincts, and comfort working across multiple fast-moving projects in a collaborative performing arts environment.
Beginning July 2026, this role supports the Marketing, Communications, and Advocacy team during the Summer for the City festival period and broader institutional video needs through February 2027, with the possibility of extension based on organizational needs and performance.
Film and edit video content across interviews, event coverage, artist features, and social-first formats, with a strong emphasis on live and event-based captureCollaborate with the Director of Video and the Marketing, Communications, and Advocacy team on concept development and execution from pre-production through deliveryOperate Canon C-Series or similar cinema cameras, including lighting and audio capture on setManage end-to-end editing in Adobe Premiere (assembly, color correction, audio mixing, and final delivery)Coordinate shoot logistics including scheduling, pre-production planning, and on-site executionManage media workflows including file organization, backups, and archiving (Monday.com and internal systems)Work closely with colleagues across departments and with external stakeholders to ensure productions align with institutional goals and messagingParticipate in weekly team meetings and maintain regular communication throughout all stages of productionInvest in projects across the full event lifecycle, including planning, pre-production, on-site capture, and post-production. This is a highly collaborative role that requires sustained engagement before, during, and after eventsMaintain consistency in visual and editorial standards when working with freelancers or external crewsAdapt quickly to shifting priorities, fast turnarounds, and last-minute editsContribute creative ideas for storytelling formats and platform-specific contentEnsure all deliverables meet technical specifications for social, web, and broadcast-adjacent platformsQualifications5+ years of experience in video production and editing across the full production lifecycleInterest in the performing arts; experience capturing dance and movement is a plusAvailability for standard working hours, weekly team meetings, and occasional nights and weekendsAdvanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere, including editing, color correction, audio mixing, and media managementHands-on experience with Canon C-Series or comparable cinema camerasStrong lighting and audio capture skills for field production and interviewsDemonstrated experience producing social-first and digital-native video contentStrong understanding of codecs, formats, and delivery standards across platformsStrong visual storytelling skills with attention to pacing and narrative structureExcellent organization and ability to manage multiple concurrent projectsComfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentAbility to lift 25+ lbsFamiliarity with union environments and an understanding of applicable labor rules and production regulations is a plusWhat is Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts?
