OUR OPPORTUNITYGovan Brown is seeking an IT Support Co-Op/Intern to join our team. This opportunity is ideal for a student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in IT operations and support. In this role, you will leverage your strong customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills to support day-to-day IT processes, including the onboarding and offboarding of project and employee technology equipment. This will likely be a 12-week co-op.
Set up and configure desks, computers, and technology equipment for new hires, ensuring a smooth onboarding experienceCoordinate the collection and processing of equipment for offboarded employeesMaintain accurate IT inventory and asset tracking, contributing to effective equipment managementSupport the IT team with day-to-day operations and project-based initiativesAssist with basic troubleshooting and provide timely support to employeesWHAT YOU BRINGCurrently pursuing or recently completed a post-secondary degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information and prioritize tasks effectivelyHighly detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environmentComfortable working with computers and technology, with a willingness to learn new systems and toolsSelf-starter who can work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environmentYOUR ESTIMATED SALARYThis is an hourly paying role that offers between $20.00 to $25.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications, with final compensation thoughtfully tailored in the offer stage.
YOUR WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENTThis position is based in the office with possible exposure to construction sites.
This is not a hybrid or remote role.
