Associate, Finance Location: New York, NY (Hybrid or Onsite) Compensation: $100,000-$120,000 base salary (commensurate with experience)OverviewA leading renewable energy and energy storage platform in North America is seeking a Finance Associate to join its growing Finance team. The firm owns and operates a multigigawatt portfolio of clean energy assets and maintains a strong development pipeline across multiple markets. The organization is actively investing in the energy transition through innovation, strategic growth, and disciplined capital deployment.
This role is well suited for a finance professional with strong financial modeling and analytical skills who thrives in a fast‑paced, transaction-oriented environment. The Associate will work cross‑functionally with teams spanning Finance, M&A, Development, and Strategy and will have direct exposure to complex investment and financing transactions.
Develop and maintain financial, valuation, and market models supporting M&A, corporate development, financing, and strategic initiativesPrepare investment memoranda, lender/investor presentations, and other transaction-related materialsCoordinate and manage due diligence processes with internal teams and external advisorsSupport the preparation and ongoing maintenance of internal forecasts, budgets, and long-range projectionsMonitor market trends, policy developments, and competitive dynamics within the renewable energy sectorEvaluate and screen potential acquisition and merger opportunities, including valuation and supporting analysesCommunicate insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and other internal stakeholdersQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field3+ years of experience in Finance, M&A, corporate development, or investment analysis (renewable energy experience strongly preferred)Advanced financial modeling skills; experience with project finance or tax equity modeling is a plus but not requiredStrong analytical, communication, and presentation skillsAbility to manage multiple workstreams and perform effectively in a deadline-driven environmentThe firm offers a competitive total rewards package, which may include:
