About the RoleWe are seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Manager – Commercial Insurance to expand our market presence and grow our SME & Corporate insurance portfolio. In this role, you will build strong client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and deliver tailored commercial insurance solutions in collaboration with our Business Banking, Employee Banking, and Protego teams.
What You’ll Be DoingBusiness Development & SalesAcquire new SME and Corporate clients across diverse UAE sectorsBuild a strong pipeline through networking, referrals, research, and direct salesConduct risk assessments and recommend suitable insurance solutionsPromote and place products such as Group Medical, Workmen Compensation, Motor Fleet, Property, Liability, and morePrepare and present proposals, quotations, and renewal termsRevenue AchievementMeet assigned revenue targets and contribute to portfolio growthTrack performance, update pipelines, and monitor conversion ratiosCoordinate with finance and operations teams for smooth premium collection and processingClient Relationship ManagementManage assigned accounts as the primary relationship ownerOversee renewals, endorsements, and coverage reviewsEnsure client retention and identify cross‑sell opportunitiesCompliance & GovernanceAdhere to CBUAE insurance regulations and brokerage conduct standardsEnsure proper KYC, AML checks, and full documentationAvoid mis‑selling by aligning solutions with client needs and risk profilesMarket ExpertiseStay updated on UAE insurance market trends and regulatory changesProvide advisory support based on current market insightsInternal & External CoordinationWork closely with underwriters, insurers, and internal teamsSupport clients during claims by coordinating with internal departments and insurersReporting & AdministrationMaintain accurate client records and policy documentationSubmit regular sales reports and pipeline updates to managementWhat We Are Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field5+ years of experience in commercial insurance sales or business developmentStrong knowledge of commercial insurance products and underwriting fundamentalsProven track record of meeting sales targetsExcellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skillsStrong understanding of risk management and UAE regulatory requirementsCertifications such as CII or CPCU are an advantageHigh integrity, professionalism, and client‑centric mindsetProficiency in CRM tools and MS Office Suite
