NJ Laminates is a growing manufacturer of custom office furniture, worksurfaces, cabinetry, and architectural millwork serving clients throughout the Northeast. We are looking for a highly organized, hands-on Production & Warehouse Manager to oversee production scheduling, warehouse operations, manpower planning, and facility organization.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, keeping operations running smoothly, and ensuring projects move efficiently from order entry through shipment.
Responsibilities
Production Management
- Coordinate production from order inception through completion
- Create and manage work orders for manufacturing personnel
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on manpower, machine capacity, material availability, and delivery requirements
- Monitor labor allocation and ensure smooth transitions between projects with minimal downtime
- Track backorders and material shortages and adjust schedules accordingly
- Monitor project status to ensure orders are completed on time
- Work closely with office staff, engineering, purchasing, and shop personnel to maintain workflow
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency
- Assist in establishing priorities when multiple projects compete for resources
Warehouse Management
- Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and efficiency
- Oversee inventory organization and material flow throughout the facility
- Ensure products are properly staged, stored, and prepared for shipment
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing freight as needed
- Continuously improve warehouse layout and operational efficiency
Fleet & Facility Oversight
- Manage company vehicle cleanliness and maintenance scheduling
- Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance for fleet vehicles and shop equipment
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Manufacturing scheduling experience preferred
- Experience in furniture manufacturing, millwork, cabinetry, woodworking, warehousing, or related manufacturing environments preferred
- General mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency with computers and business software
- Forklift experience is a plus

We are looking for someone who can keep projects flowing through the shop efficiently, minimize downtime, anticipate bottlenecks before they happen, and ensure employees always have productive work in front of them.
The right candidate does not need to know our exact processes—we will train them—but they should bring strong operational instincts, common sense, accountability, and a willingness to learn.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
