ResponsibilitiesExecute all activities related to data for all business areas and ensure data definitions are established as per the data asset model (e.g. data quality rules, business terms definitions, data classifications…)Assess the business division strategies to establish impacts on data and data strategies.
Responsible for conformance with the agreed standards and policies for all data sources of the assigned business divisions.
Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Follows the day-to-day tasks related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
Develop and execute all necessary data queries in the assigned area of business.
Deliver all day-to-day work for the assigned business area to fulfil data ownership duties.
Act on behalf of the assigned business units in all interactions with IT in relation to data needs, e.g. data requirements, data change management, provision of data for new systems, etc.
Represent the business unit’s interests at the Enterprise Data Governance Committee (as and when needed).
Assist in the management & development of data stewardship standards.
Provide education, guidance and support to ensure common understanding of goals & standards.
Contribute to the awareness of data & information importance in driving business initiatives.
Provide directions for effective and approved provisioning of data and information to consumers, e.g. business champion, BI Team, Advanced Analytics & Data Mining Team.
Liaise with other Data Stewards & members of the EDMO.
Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of Data Stewardship processes and practices.
Review ‘international best practice’, & assess suitability for the improvement of RB business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement in the Data Stewardship area.
Assess the suitability for use in the Bank of international Data Stewardship approaches (i.e. Centralized Stewardship, Federated Stewardship, Hybrid Stewardship and Self-Organising Teams).
Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate reports of Riyad Bank to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards.
Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science of Information Technology.
Minimum Experience: 4-6 years relevant experience in the design and implementation of Enterprise Data Warehousing environments in Financial institutions.
Experience of Data Stewardship & Governance.
Language: English: Intermediate.
Required SkillsKnowledge of Data Stewardship practices and Techniques.
Knowledge in the architecture required for data management.
Knowledge of the operations, products and services of banks and financial institutions.
Knowledge in Oracle EDW data model for Banking and financial institutions.
Understanding of the bank’s strategy, objectives, products and services.
Understanding in the market trends and competitors’ awareness.
Understanding of analytical applications development and usage to support business decision making.
Understanding of Enterprise Business Intelligence and Reporting principles and key.
