About the jobPosition Title: Merchandising AssistantDepartment: Sales + MerchandisingThe Merchandising Assistant provides essential support to the Director of Merchandising in delivering seasonal product strategies that meet the company's brand vision, customer needs, and financial goals for Tanya Taylor and Delphine. This role is key to maintaining product data accuracy, supporting seasonal line planning, analyzing sales performance, and assisting in cross-functional alignment. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with a passion for fashion, attention to detail, and an understanding of business drivers.
Partner with the Director of Merchandising to support the creation of seasonal line plans for all product categories that align with brand strategy and financial objectivesMaintain accurate product information in RLM, including: Pricing and margin file projections Style naming and delivery assignments Cancellations, additions, and updatesSizing and color name audits ("scrubs")Support management of the merchandising calendar and key milestone trackingSupport with updating key tools to support alignment cross-functionally on deliveries True boards Whitecard Deck (Power Point) RLMAssist in preparation of assortment guides, market tools, and presentation materials for internal and external teams Prepare presentation materials to share during bi-weekly selling, pre-market hindsights, post- market hindsights Pre-market merchandising prep to outline the collection to inform the sales team of repeats, updates and special detailsAnalytics & Business Insights:
Develop a strong understanding of the customer through sales analysis, market insights, and trend monitoringCompile and analyze merchandising reports such as sales projections, booking recaps, and post-season analysesUse selling, bookings, and sell-through data to support and inform, identifying risks and opportunities based on product performance, consumer behavior, and trend shiftsData-driven decisions and business recommendationsConduct ongoing brand, market, and competitive research to inform seasonal strategiesCross-Functional Support:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Product Development, Marketing, and Sales to execute cohesive seasonal plans.
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance data accuracy, operational clarity, and team workflow efficiency.
