The Front of House Manager will oversee daily operations across multiple food and beverage venues, ensuring seamless execution, elevated service standards, and memorable experiences for members and their guests. This highly visible leadership role serves as a key ambassador of the club's hospitality culture and will collaborate closely with culinary, membership, events, and senior leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities: Member Experience & Service Leadership
- Lead daily front-of-house operations across multiple dining, lounge, bar, and event venues.
- Deliver consistently exceptional service standards reflective of a premier private club environment.
- Build meaningful relationships with members and guests while serving as a visible presence throughout the club.
- Resolve service concerns with professionalism, discretion, and urgency.
- Champion a hospitality-first culture focused on personalization and member engagement.
Operations Management
- Oversee opening, closing, and daily operating procedures across assigned venues.
- Monitor service execution, reservation flow, seating strategies, and overall guest experience.
- Partner closely with culinary leadership to ensure seamless communication between front and back of house teams.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and operational standards.
- Support inventory controls, cash handling procedures, and POS system compliance.
Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop front-of-house team members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct ongoing coaching, performance management, and talent development initiatives.
- Lead daily pre-shift meetings and communicate operational priorities.
- Assist with scheduling and labor planning to maintain service excellence.
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
- Support labor management and productivity initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to enhance revenue through exceptional service and member engagement.
- Assist in achieving departmental financial objectives and operational KPIs.
- Complete operational reporting, documentation, and follow-up as required.
Club & Event Support
- Support private events, member activations, special programming, and club-wide initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Membership, Events, and Operations teams to execute exceptional member experiences.
- Maintain flexibility to support multiple venues and operational areas based on business needs.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of progressive front-of-house leadership experience within luxury hotels, private member clubs, fine dining restaurants, or upscale lifestyle hospitality environments.
- Strong knowledge of food, beverage, wine, and service standards.
- Demonstrated success leading teams in fast-paced, high-touch hospitality settings.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships with discerning clientele and VIP guests.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with POS systems, reservation platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands require.
Preferred Experience
- Private member club, luxury lifestyle hospitality, or Forbes-Verified hotel experience.
- Exposure to multi-outlet food and beverage operations.
- Wine and beverage knowledge.
- Experience supporting private events, member programming, and curated guest experiences.
