Job Overview

This is a corporate-level finance role embedded within a privately held, Portland-based private company with a diversified portfolio of operating businesses. The Finance Associate works directly with the Corporate Controller to support the full accounting cycle across the organization, serving as a key contributor to the financial integrity and reporting accuracy of the enterprise. This is a high-visibility position with meaningful exposure to the operations and financial activity of multiple companies, offering a strong foundation for long-term growth in a complex, dynamic environment.

Qualifications and Technical skills

• Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
• Working knowledge of office equipment, such as printers and scanning machines
• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, MS Power Point)
• Understanding of the principles of accounting and financial management
• Proficiency in ERP systems, specifically construction-based ERP systems

Responsibilities

• Managing and reporting of the balance sheet accounts
• Review and reclassifications of G&A expense accounts
• Managing of fixed (and other) asset depreciation schedules
• Construction project and internal capitalization project cost analysis
• Managing company spend programs (credit card, travel, expense management, etc)

Various additional audit and analysis projects, as needed

Experience

• corporate accounting working with balance sheets: 2 years (Required)
