What The Role IsISD confronts and addresses threats to Singapore’s internal security and stability. For over 75 years, ISD and its predecessor organisations have played a central role in countering threats such as those posed by foreign subversive elements, spies, racial and religious extremists, and terrorists. ISD’s Workplace Services Division manages the organisation’s physical infrastructure and logistics needs. As an Executive (Policy and Plans Office) in the Workplace Services Division, you will be involved in the planning and policy formulation for ISD’s physical infrastructure and logistical needs and uses.
What You Will Be Working OnThe successful candidate would have to:1. Be involved in long-term resource planning to meet ISD’s present and future physical infrastructure and logistical requirements.2. Develop and implement infrastructure and logistics masterplans3. Develop and implement guidelines and policies to govern efficient use of physical space and other resources4. Evaluate resource request and provide recommended solutions to stakeholders 5. Conduct horizon scanning for advancements in building technology and facilities management6. Drive innovation and digitalisation efforts to raise efficiency in facilities and logistical management 7. Forge and manage strategic partnerships with relevant industry playersConceptualise and manage professional development of officers in Workplace Services DivisionWhat We Are Looking ForHave a recognized Tertiary qualification in Building, Facilities Management, Engineering, Social Science or equivalent competencies.2. Be a team player with strong analytical skills and is able to multi-task, work independently and collaboratively with stakeholders.3. Be self- motivated, proactive, resourceful and has a keen eye for details.4. Have good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.5. Be competent in the use of MS Office (Words, Excel, Powerpoint, etc), Tele-Conferencing Tools (MS Teams, Skype) and Sharepoint. 6. Preferably have at least 2 years working experience in the built environment industry and/or in corporate planning.7. Experience with Public Sector procurement procedures and contracts administration will be advantageous. 8. Only Singaporeans need apply.
