Sensing Software Engineer

What To ExpectThe Tesla Sensing Software Team is looking for a sensing software engineer with expertise in state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms. The person in this role will need to be familiar with and has prior experience of machine learning and deep learning algorithms, proficient with programming and software engineering fundamentals, and work with hardware engineers and firmware engineers to develop efficient, and tightly integrated features. The candidate is also expected to be able to learn and adapt quickly to the fast-paced environment, get hands dirty in the lab or in the car for data collection and analysis, algorithm validation when needed to, and use it to root cause issues, and propose solutions.

What You'll DoDevelopment of new computer vision algorithms for sensing applicationsWrite python and C++ code to develop algorithms, analyze data and generate visualizationsWork with hardware engineers and firmware engineers to develop efficient, and tightly integrated featuresContribute to production level software on Tesla platforms to enable various featuresWhat You'll BringBachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering program such as Computer Science or Engineering, or other majors with strong relevant experiences such as ADAS, Robotics, Signal Processing etc. or equivalent experienceStrong python programming skills, familiarity with pyTorch; proficient with C++ programming and have experiences of large C++ projectsFamiliarity with classical machine learning algorithms; faimiliarity with state-of-the-art deep learning algorithms including CNN, Transformers etc.
