Role OverviewThe Academic Counselor will be responsible for guiding students and parents throughout the enrollment journey by understanding their academic needs, recommending suitable programs, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience. The role involves counseling, sales conversion, and maintaining strong communication to drive admissions.

Key Responsibilities1. Student CounselingEngage with prospective students and parents to understand their academic requirements and career goals.

Provide detailed information about programs, curriculum, learning outcomes, and teaching methodologies.

Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions (online/offline).2. Sales & ConversionFollow up with leads generated through marketing, inbound calls, and references.

Drive end-to-end admissions conversion from lead to enrolment.

Achieve monthly and quarterly admission targets.3. Communication & Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong rapport with students and parents.

Address queries regarding courses, fees, schedules, and academic pathways.

Provide accurate and timely information throughout the counseling process.4. Documentation & ReportingMaintain records of interactions, follow-ups, and conversions in the CRM.

Prepare daily/weekly reports on lead status, pipeline, and closures.5. CoordinationWork closely with the academic and operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding.

Coordinate demo classes, assessments, and orientation sessions if required.

Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in any discipline (Education background is preferred but not mandatory).0–4 years of experience in counseling, sales, inside sales, or customer-facing roles.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong problem-solving ability and customer handling skills.

Ability to work in a target-driven and fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
