Key Responsibilities1. General Ledger (GL) Management & HygieneEnsure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of GL balancesPerform regular GL scrutiny and variance analysisIdentify and resolve mis-postings, incorrect classifications, and aged balancesMaintain clean sub-ledger to GL reconciliation (AP, AR, FA, etc.)2. Month-End & Year-End CloseDrive timely closure of books with strict adherence to timelinesReview and post journal entries, accruals, provisions, and reclassificationsEnsure all balance sheet schedules are prepared and validated3. Financial Reporting & MISPrepare monthly MIS packs with variance analysis (Actual vs Budget vs Prior Period)Deliver actionable insights to managementSupport business finance teams with data-driven analysis4. Statutory & Regulatory ComplianceEnsure compliance with Companies Act, Ind AS / GAAP, GST, TDS, and other applicable lawsCoordinate with auditors for statutory audit, tax audit, and internal auditEnsure proper documentation and audit readiness5. Consolidation of AccountsManage group consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and reconciliationEnsure alignment of accounting policies across entitiesSupport preparation of consolidated financial statements6. AP Advances & Working Capital AnalysisMonitor and analyze vendor advances and ageingEnsure timely adjustment/recovery of advancesHighlight risk areas and stuck advances to management7. ControlsStrengthen internal controls and SOP adherenceDrive process improvements and automation initiatives`Technical SkillsStrong knowledge of accounting standards (Ind AS / IFRS)Hands-on experience in SAP (S/4 HANA preferred) or similar ERPAdvanced Excel skills (Pivot, Lookups, Data Analysis)Core CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh level of ownership and accountabilityAbility to handle multiple stakeholders (business, auditors, tax teams)Attention to detail and data accuracyGood communication and presentation skillsExperience in shared services / Big 4 environmentGood to HaveExposure to automation tools / Power BIExperience in process transitions or SOP creation
