Description
Analyst will use Excel, and if needed, statistical packages, to conduct background research related to climate/regulatory topics and support data cleaning and analysis, to analyze New York's climate risk and its impacts to DFS regulated entities and the communities they serve. Analyst will also track Division-wide project progress and completion. These tasks will inform and support policy development.
Duties
- Source, clean, structure data to import to R, Excel; use MS Excel/ statistical packages (R, Stata, python/pandas) to analyze and manipulate data, synthesize and summarize findings in Word for briefing memos.
- Leverage excel and other tools to track and follow-up on division projects.
- Interact/collaborate with DFS staff, and other partners.
Mandatory Requirements
- Experience (8+ Years)
- Analyzes an organization or business domain (real or hypothetical) and documents its business or processes or systems, assessing the business model or its integration with technology with distinct deliverables to a solution.
Requirements
- This is an 100% Onsite.
- 36 months of experience cleaning and organizing data, using Excel.
- 36 months of experience working with large datasets using MS Excel or similar tools.
- 36 months of experience with sourcing publicly available data.
- 24 months of experience using statistical packages, like R, Stata, pandas to analyze data.
- 36 months experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe software.
- 24 months of experience tracking and/or coordinating projects.
- Bachelor's Degree in economics, statistics, public policy, climate, or related disciplines.
- 36 months experience working collaboratively in matrixed teams, while managing stakeholder relationships. For example: working on a project with multiple owners, requiring sign-off from separate divisions.
