Senior Data and BI Analyst

We are looking to hire a Senior Data and BI Analyst with strong technical depth across enterprise reporting, cloud data platforms, and advanced analytics to support one of the largest semi-government organization in Dubai.

This is a 12-month contract role which is renewable subject to performance and business requirements.

The role sits within the Data & Analytics function and reports directly to the Manager in Data & Analytics.

We are looking for a passionate Senior Data and BI Analyst who is experienced in Azure-based data platforms and enterprise reporting environments. You should have strong technical expertise in SQL-driven analytics, cloud data engineering, ETL/ELT frameworks, and data governance, along with the ability to provide operational support for critical data systems.

Key responsibilities

Monitor existing data pipelines to ensure smooth operation, timely data availability, and system reliabilityProvide troubleshooting support for data issues, including pipeline failures, data quality concerns, and performance bottlenecksSupport ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Logic Apps, and SSISPerform system health checks and provide operational and incident support, including weekend monitoring when requiredMonitor data quality, resolve data integrity issues, and implement validation and control mechanismsManage daily management reports and support configuration changesHandle Power BI access requests and provide ongoing operational reporting supportDesign, develop, and enhance data pipelines and data models to support business intelligence and analytics needsIngest, transform, and optimize data from multiple structured and unstructured data sourcesDevelop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for performance and scalabilityEnsure adherence to data security, governance, and compliance best practicesKnowledge, skills & experience:

Minimum of 7 - 10 years of hands-on experience on similar roles.

Strong experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Logic Apps, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Delta TablesExperience implementing Medallion Architecture (bronze, silver, and gold layers)Proficiency in SQL and PySparkExperience with data governance and access control, including Unity CatalogStrong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and ETL/ELT frameworksGood understanding of data governance, access control, and GDPR complianceStrong troubleshooting skills across data pipelines, reporting, and analytics platformsExperience with SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI is an advantageAvailability:
