Product Compliance & Quality Assurance Specialist
Andiamo is hiring on behalf of a client seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Product Compliance & Quality Assurance Specialist to support a fast-paced consumer products organization. About The Role
As a key member of the Product Integrity and Compliance team, you will help oversee programs that ensure products meet applicable quality standards, testing requirements, and regulatory obligations. You will collaborate with sourcing, design, production, merchandising, legal, and vendor partners to support product compliance initiatives from onboarding through production.
This position requires strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable reviewing testing data, educating vendors, managing documentation, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Quality & Compliance Program Support
- Assist in managing product quality, testing, and compliance programs across multiple product categories.
- Monitor testing outcomes, inspection performance, and vendor compliance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Review quality data and generate actionable insights to support business decisions.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to product integrity initiatives.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying recurring issues and recommending corrective actions.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate with internal teams across sourcing, product development, merchandising, design, legal, retail, and production.
- Provide guidance on quality standards, regulatory requirements, and product testing expectations.
- Act as a trusted resource for stakeholders seeking compliance-related support and recommendations.
- Prepare periodic reporting and performance summaries used in supplier evaluations and sourcing decisions.
Vendor Management & Education
- Support supplier onboarding initiatives by introducing quality assurance, testing, and compliance requirements.
- Educate vendors on new policies, regulatory changes, and product integrity standards.
- Serve as a point of contact for supplier questions regarding inspections, testing procedures, and compliance expectations.
- Work collaboratively with vendors to resolve quality concerns and implement preventative measures.
- Promote accountability and continuous improvement throughout the supplier network.
Product Testing & Laboratory Coordination
- Oversee testing activities related to product safety, performance, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with third-party laboratories to ensure testing is performed according to established protocols and timelines.
- Review test reports and collaborate with stakeholders to address non-compliant or failed results.
- Recommend corrective actions and support implementation plans to mitigate quality risks.
- Ensure testing requirements align with applicable product specifications, care instructions, restricted substance lists, and performance standards.
Regulatory Compliance
- Stay informed on evolving domestic and international product safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Provide regulatory guidance to internal teams and external partners.
- Support compliance reviews related to materials, components, labeling, fiber content, care instructions, and product claims.
- Assist in evaluating product documentation to ensure alignment with applicable regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in product integrity, quality assurance, product compliance, or a related field.
- Knowledge of consumer product testing, quality management, and regulatory compliance programs.
- Experience working with third-party testing laboratories or certification organizations is highly desirable.
- Understanding of apparel, soft goods, consumer products, or related manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with major product safety and regulatory frameworks, including consumer product safety standards and international compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret testing data and identify meaningful trends.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and project management capabilities.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaborative relationships across diverse teams.
