The Role
Transmission Agency is looking for a stellar Account Project Manager to join our team managing multi-channel marketing programs. This role will serve as a ‘hybrid’ role, encompassing responsibilities for client service/management and project management. The Account Project Manager is responsible for managing and growing client accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving revenue growth. This role works closely with Client Services, Creative, Strategy and other departments to execute our client account plans that align with both the client’s and agency’s objectives. This involves developing great relationships, setting clear goals, identifying key growth opportunities, and mapping out a pathway to achieve them. This role is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all tactical activities of client engagements to ensure that project goals are accomplished within the agreed time frame, budget and scope.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or related field.
- 4-6 years of experience as an agency account manager or project manager.
- Experience working in a project management and workflow tool. Experience with Wrike a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite365 (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong B2B integrated marketing campaign knowledge/experience.
- Have confident and collaborative account/project management abilities with strong spoken and written communication skills, creative problem solving and excellent decision-making abilities
- Experience working directly with clients and managing client relationships
- PMP certification is a plus
- Have marketing experience and an understanding of the delivery in the key channels we operate: Traditional, Social, Digital, Email and DM, and Video
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and juggle multiple projects whilst retaining an excellent eye for detail
- Possess a can-do attitude, being flexible and adaptable to the needs of clients and the agency
- Proven track record with budget management; excellent financial aptitude in development and managing project budgets
- Demonstrate the ability to interpret creative ideas from the outset to provide seamless production delivery whilst upholding the creative concept/idea within the parameters of timescales and budget
What you’ll do
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Creates and collaborates with others on producing client briefs and creative briefs, ensuring all stakeholders have the information they need to execute on deliverables.
- Identify opportunities for account growth and work with clients to expand services and solutions; develop strategic and tactical business plans, onsite account representative at meetings, ad boards, etc.
- Primary and lead point-of-contact for assigned clients; manage client accounts, including onboarding, regular status meetings, day-to-day communications, and addressing any issues or concerns.
- Sell the company’s services in partnership with VP/Directors including organic growth of assigned client accounts and recognition of opportunities with clients & gaps in the marketplace; participate in proposal writing and new business pitches as well as create and/or edit client presentations.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to provide clients with the most relevant and effective solutions.
- Partner with internal department leaders and SMEs, ensuring the highest quality, strategically sound work that delivers clients’ objectives.
- Serve as primary workflow manager/owner of all assigned projects, managing all aspects of project execution from scoping all the way through final delivery and financial reconciliation (project plans/timelines, budgets, & resource allocations).
- Plans, schedules and controls project activities toward defined scope and objectives, applying strategic thinking, technical and project management skills to satisfy project requirements.
- Plans, manages and collaborates with resource manager and respective department heads to fill resource needs.
- Leads all project meetings including internal reviews, scrums and project status meetings with clients and internal cross-functional teams.
- Works with internal multi-functional teams to manage the project team by ensuring stakeholder involvement, encouraging interaction and defining and delegating responsibilities.
- Prepares project status and keeps clients, management, and project stakeholders informed of project status and related issues.
- Generates weekly burn reports and forecasts, and makes suggestions on revenue/work escalations, change orders, and transfers; has a full understanding of billing, fees, and profit and collaborates with Account Director to manage profitability.
- Works alongside the client service teams and acts as an additional point of contact with clients of assigned accounts/projects; facilitates proactive communication and issue resolution as it pertains to assigned projects.
- Establishes and works within standard processes but adjusts to yield the highest value for the effort – identify opportunities to streamline, avoid rework and duplication of effort, involve the right people at the right time.
- Contribute to ongoing improvement of internal processes to allow for smooth execution of projects and improved efficiency across departments and project team members.
