GEMS is expanding our support of Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) and seeking an experienced Project Manager III – IT Liaison to support Airport IT initiatives across multiple terminals within the TDIP program. This role is ideal for a seasoned aviation professional who understands the intersection of airport operations, technology systems, and stakeholder coordination.

What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary liaison between Airport IT project teams, Airport Operations, airline partners, and key LAWA stakeholders.
- Facilitate alignment, communication, and coordinated execution across multiple terminals.
- Provide timely updates on project milestones, risks, dependencies, and operational impacts.
- Support IT project planning, scheduling, and contractor coordination to ensure compliance with operational requirements.
- Participate in project meetings, site walks, and operational briefings to maintain situational awareness.
- Identify risks, gaps, and coordination challenges — escalating issues as needed.
- Support integration of airport systems (FIDS, AODB, BHS, kiosks, gate equipment, etc.) with IT infrastructure.
- Build strong working relationships across terminals to support efficient project delivery.
What You Bring
- 15+ years of experience, preferably on airport or aviation-related projects.
- Strong knowledge of LAX operations, terminal environments, and airport technology systems.
- Experience with contractor management, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional coordination.
- Ability to translate operational needs into technology-driven solutions.
- Familiarity with airport IT systems, SITA platforms, PMWeb, Bluebeam, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in airline operations, terminal management, or airport IT projects is highly desirable.
- Prior experience working with LAWA or other large-hub airports is a strong plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Engineering, Architecture, Business, Construction Management, Planning, or related field required; certifications (AAAE, PMP, PE, LEED, AICP) preferred.
