You’ll play a key role in driving growth by building strong customer relationships, developing market strategies, and securing high‑value logistics partnerships.
This is a strategic, commercially focused role, working closely with internal teams to deliver sustainable business growth.

What You’ll DoIdentify and secure new business opportunities with annual spends of £150k+Develop and deliver business development strategies aligned to company objectivesBuild and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clientsDrive revenue growth through targeted outreach, negotiation and closing high‑value dealsResearch market trends, competitor activity and growth opportunitiesRepresent CitySprint at industry events, conferences and networking eventsPrepare and present compelling proposals and solutions to senior decision‑makersCollaborate with Marketing, Sales, Product and wider teams to support growthProvide regular reporting on pipeline, activity and market insights to senior leadersManage business development projects from initiation to deliveryWhat We’re Looking ForProven experience winning and developing high‑value B2B/SME business (£150k+ accounts)Strong negotiation and closing skills within logistics or service‑led environmentsStrategic thinker with the ability to develop long‑term growth plansExcellent relationship‑building and stakeholder management skillsCommercially astute with strong understanding of financial and margin impactConfident presenter, able to engage senior leaders and boardsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environmentExperience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft OfficeDemonstrated success delivering revenue and margin growth aligned to strategyAll successful candidates will be required to complete a DBS check as part of the recruitment process.
