Title: Director of Marketing - AEC

Location: San Francisco, CA 94108 (HYBRID)

Salary: $140,000 - $160,000

Schedule: 9x80 Hybrid

Mondays & Fridays Remote. Tue, Wed, Thurs is On-Site. Every other Friday is off.

We are a full-service architecture and interiors firm with a broad portfolio serving clients across California. Recognized for design excellence, we continue to evolve and grow. We are seeking a Director of Marketing who understands our history and brings fresh ideas and vision for the future.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead the marketing function day to day and set a clear, firmwide plan aligned with values and strategic objectives.
• Act as both leader and hands on contributor: strategy, content, proposals, oversight, and execution.
• Partner with Principals in a seller-doer environment to prioritize pursuits and communicate strategy.
• Own proposal and pursuit efforts including RFP RFQ strategy, writing, reviews, and win loss analysis.
• Develop and maintain marketing materials including project sheets, presentations, and other collateral.
• Elevate firm presence through brand consistency, thought leadership, and clear storytelling.
• Lead and mentor the marketing team including workload balancing, coaching, and professional development.
• Manage budgets, track ROI, and identify opportunities to improve systems and processes.
• Communicate progress and initiatives to Principals and staff on a quarterly basis.

What You Need for this Position

• 10 plus years marketing or business development experience and 5 plus years leading marketing in the AEC industry.
• Strong writing and editing ability with clear architectural storytelling.
• Proven hands on proposal and pursuit experience including RFP RFQ development and shortlist preparation.
• Experience managing and developing a marketing team across multiple priorities.
• Ability to evaluate budgets, track systems, and drive continuous improvement.
• Ability to stay composed in high pressure moments and communicate diplomatically.
• Highly organized and creative with strong judgment and independent problem solving.
• Proficiency with MS Office 365, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Square. Familiarity with Deltek, Bluebeam, Unanet, Synthesis, and Adobe CS is a plus.
• Bachelor degree in Marketing, Marketing and Communications, or equivalent experience.
• Must live within a commutable distance of the San Francisco office and work onsite Tue Wed Thu.
