Job DescriptionRole MissionThe Gucci Financial Analyst is a key member of the Finance team, responsible for ensuring accurate, complete, and insightful financial reporting for the North American region to Gucci worldwide headquarters, as well as to internal stakeholders and auditors.
This role focuses on the allocation, analysis, and forecasting of retail operating expenses. The Financial Analyst supports the period-end close by reviewing accruals and ensuring completeness and accuracy of expenses, preparing forecasting models, and delivering financial insights to senior management and business partners.
Key AccountabilitiesReview month-end accruals and reclassifications for operating expenses to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper support.
Partner with accounting/R2R to validate entries and ensure alignment with financial guidelines and timelinesUpdate monthly financial reporting package for budget holders; including month-end variance analysis of actuals vs. budget/forecastProvide guidance to budget owners on spend management and collaborate closely to monitor and control costsReview and approve invoices within assigned categories, ensuring correct coding and allocationSupport internal and external audit requests, including preparation of data and sampling documentationDevelop and maintain reliable projection models for retail expenses and related balance sheet accountsMonitor year-to-date performance and spending trends against financial targets and projectionsFunction as a key finance business partner to the retail network and cross-functional teamsMaintain and enhance rolling forecast models at cost center, account, and expense line levelsParticipate in budgeting and forecasting processes for store-related expensesDeliver analytical support to cost center owners to drive informed decision-makingAnalyze financial data and provide timely, actionable recommendations to managementContribute to the improvement of internal controls, processes, and financial governancePerform ad-hoc financial analysis as requiredKey RequirementsMinimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, controlling, or cost managementSAP and HFM experience are a plusAdvanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPointStrong verbal and written communication skillsDetail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical capabilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlinesFlexibility to support peak periods (month-end and forecast cycles)Strong sense of ownership and initiativeAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyHigh level of reliability, diligence, and motivationTeam-oriented mindset with a positive attitudeWork AuthorizationQualified candidates must have the proper work authorization to work in the United StatesWe are passionate makers and bold thought leaders. Salary Range – New York For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, GUCCI includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. In addition, where a candidate falls within the disclosed range estimate may be dependent on the applicable geographic differential associated with the location in which the position may be filled.
