We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Operations Analyst to support day-to-day financial processes, ensure accuracy in transactions, and enhance operational efficiency. This role sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and systems, and plays a critical role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities1. Financial Operations & ReconciliationPerform daily reconciliation of transactions, balances, and settlements across systems and bank accounts Investigate and resolve discrepancies, exceptions, and failed transactions Monitor payment flows, including inbound and outbound transfers 2. Payment & Settlement ManagementManage end-to-end payment processes (e.g., bank transfers, card settlements, wallets) Track settlement timelines and ensure compliance with scheme/bank requirements Liaise with payment partners, banks, and internal teams to resolve issues 3. Reporting & AnalysisPrepare regular financial and operational reports (daily, weekly, monthly) Analyze transaction trends, volumes, and anomalies Support forecasting and cash flow monitoring 4. Process Improvement & AutomationIdentify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to workflows Work with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to automate manual processes Enhance controls to reduce operational risks 5. Compliance & ControlsEnsure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards Support audit processes by providing documentation and explanations Maintain accurate records and audit trails 6. Stakeholder ManagementCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Treasury, Product, Customer Support) Communicate issues clearly and escalate where necessary Support business initiatives such as new product launches or market expansionsRequirementsStrong analytical, communication and problem-solving skillsA proactive, detail-oriented individual with integrity, open mindset, and accountabilityInterested in working at a fintech start-up and thriving in a dynamic working environmentProficiency in Excel / Google Sheets (SQL or data tools is a plus)Ability to handle time-sensitive tasks under pressure 2-5 years of experience in financial operations, payments, fintech, or banking Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
