Cashier/Customer Service Representative

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs, including product demos and recommendations
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions, handle cash and card payments, and give correct change
• Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to enhance store presentation
• Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits during customer interactions
• Conduct inventory stocking, product demos, and ensure shelves are well-stocked and appealing
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
• Support the store team with basic retail math calculations for sales totals, discounts, and promotions

Requirements

• Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery or similar stores
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math concepts
• Demonstrated supervising experience is beneficial for leadership opportunities within the team
• Ability to perform basic math accurately and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
