About the Business Under the Pallas Group umbrella, we have two purpose-driven, ambitious brands inspired by a passion for excellence within the funds management and property industries.
Pallas Capital is a debt and equity fund manager specialising in the financing of Australian and New Zealand Commercial Real Estate. The business was established in direct response to the growing lack of credit in Australia’s mid-range property market; a situation exacerbated by the shortage of reputable, risk-adverse, non-bank lenders.
Fortis our property development management business, has a portfolio of more than $750 million in successfully completed residential and commercial projects, with a further $560 million to be completed by the end of the year.
Due to continued growth in Pallas Capital, there is an opportunity for an Accountant to join the team in our Sydney Head Office in Double Bay.
The successful candidate will be required to work from the office five days per week.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and reconcile bank accounts to ensure accuracy and completenessManage end-to-end invoice processing, including payment setup and executionMaintain and update the Shadow Loan Register to ensure accurate recordsCalculate and review monthly interest for various third-party loan facilitiesSupport the preparation and processing of broker trail paymentsReview and validate payment statements from securitised trustsProcess investor transactions, including allocation of incoming funds, transfers of holdings, and redemptionsCoordinate investor distribution payments across multiple entitiesAssist with month-end and year-end close processes, supporting financial reporting requirementsSupport the preparation and lodgement of Business Activity Statements (BAS)Assist with external audit processes, liaising with auditors and service providers as requiredEnsure policies, procedures, and controls are well-documented, up to date, and aligned with risk and regulatory frameworksProactively identify, escalate, and support the resolution of issuesDrive continuous improvement initiatives across processes, templates, and systemsAbout YouTertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related disciplineMinimum 3 years’ experience in an accounting role, ideally within Financial ServicesProven experience preparing management accounts and supporting financial reporting processesStrong experience with general ledger management, reconciliations, and month-end closeExposure to BAS preparation, audit processes, and financial compliance requirementsIntermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is requiredExperience with accounting systems (Xero or MYOB preferred)Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentWhy Pallas GroupThe people are entrepreneurial; the business is young and proving itself fast, it is a great time to join the group.
