[Side note: For those looking for the mattress company, we're NOT it. The Purple Store sells purple things.]

Please apply if you're

• GREAT at retail, with at least 1-2 years solid retail sales experience
• truly an outgoing, lively person glad to start a conversation with anyone, more enthusiastic than subdued
• really comfortable with sales, suggesting items to go with items, etc.
• the kind of person who looks over your own shoulder to make sure the work is done well
• understand that customers are our guests and friends, not our "targets," while still suggesting everything they might like

We plan to meet candidates and see who fits these roles:

• Retail sales team member (most or part-time, 25-40 hours a week)
• Retail sales team keyholder (most or part-time, 25-40 hours a week)

...strong retail sales skills.

...smarts.

...enthusiastic outgoingness with customers, complete comfort talking to a customers on the phone and in person in an upbeat way

...natural organizational skills and attention to detail.

...work ethic to get things done. We hire people who are self-motivated.

...reliability, 100% trustworthiness, and integrity.

...a cool head when things get busy. It's an active but calm, drama-free workplace.

...comfort checking in with everyone to make sure things have gotten done.

...ability to move boxes around here and there, including a few heavy ones.

....consistent availability, including some weekend days (weekends are busy and fun)

...great personality to get along with people and have fun while working hard.

...humility to realize that we're a small business and that means sometimes we're the ones sweeping up or taking out the recycling, etc.

...ongoing availability (i.e. we're less inclined toward full-time students or those who are leaving shortly).

...age 20+

...those who are fully Covid vaccinated and staying current. Current covid vax required.

Being a purple fan is nice but definitely not required. Job skills and awesome personality are much more important to us.
