Great benefits and work-life balanceFull time 38 hours a week role - generally between 6:30am and 3:30pm Convenient working locationServicing a variety of locations within the iconic University of SydneyAbout The RoleYou’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of our warehouse operations, supporting multiple retail, food & beverage outlets, bars, offices and events across campus. Working closely with the wider Operations team, you will coordinate purchasing, goods inwards, stock control and dispatch, while managing a small team. You’ll ensure stock transfers are managed accurately, efficiently and safely across locations, as well as receiving and distributing orders from the ecommerce store.

What You Will DoManage the warehouse and the purchasing functionRostering and resource allocation to meet demandsAccurate inventory control, including maintain levels of critical stockIdentifying issues through regular stocktakes and effective shrinkage controlTeam development and delegation through effective communication and coachingManaging logistics requirements and deliveries to our sitesManaging HACCP and food safety requirementsManage internal and external client relationshipsOperation of the USU ecommerce storeEssential Criteria5+ years’ experience in a similar role2+ years supervisory experienceGood written and oral communication skillsHighly organised, high attention to detail and effective problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamIntermediate computer literacy and experience with MS Office Suite – particularly Word and ExcelExperience in using inventory management programs (e.g. BePoz)Able to manoeuvre up to 25 kgsFull Provisional NSW Driver’s LicenceCurrent Forklift licenseDesirable SkillsBackground in Retail and/or Food & Beverage industry or environmentKnowledge of and commitment to HACCP and Work Health and Safety RegulationsHOURS OF WORK38 hours per week, Monday to Friday - may include some weekends and nights as dictated by business requirements. No public holidays, two weeks shut down between Christmas and New Year.
