Overnight Delivery Driver

Blackbird Baking Co. is hiring a full time team member to join our delivery team. If you’re reliable, comfortable with early morning starts and take pride in doing things accurately and efficiently, we’d love to hear from you.

This role begins at 2AM at our Riverside location, packing bread orders with the team and transitions into deliveries later in the shift. It’s a focused, fast paced morning environment that suits someone independent, organized, and steady under pressure.

Position Details

Full time, starting at $23 per hour, weekend availability is a must!

What You’ll Do

• Arrive on time and ready for a 2:00AM start
• Slice and package bread for about 60 wholesale customers daily plus our own retail locations
• Load vehicles according to established delivery routes
• Drive safely and follow all traffic laws
• Complete deliveries accurately and on schedule
• Load and unload products
• Communicate clearly with customers and coworkers
• Perform vehicle checks before, during, and after routes
• Support general vehicle upkeep
• Assist with end of shift prep, including labeling delivery bags, packaging stickers, and cleaning and sanitizing the delivery area

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Ontario full G license
• Clean driver’s abstract
• Minimum one year of delivery driving experience
• Familiarity with downtown Toronto streets
• Availability on weekends
• Ability to lift up to 25kg and multiple bread trays
• Strong time management and multitasking skills
• Comfortable with early morning work
• Positive and professional attitude

Nice to Have

• Experience using Slack for communication
• Strong navigation skills
• Experience driving a Sprinter or similar sized vehicle
• Food prep experience
