Job Description
Toronto School of Art (TSA) is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Educational Assistant to support our Youth Summer Workshop and broader summer programming. This is an 8 week contract program funded by Canada Summer Jobs starting on June 29 – August 21, 2026. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in youth art education, a background in the visual arts, and a passion for supporting creative expression. It is also well-suited to an individual interested in contributing to the day-to-day operations of a vibrant, independent art school in downtown Toronto.
Working under the guidance of TSA’s professional artist instructors, the Educational Assistant will support the delivery of high-quality visual arts programming, primarily for youth ages 11–17. You will play an important role in fostering a welcoming and supportive studio environment, while providing one-on-one technical guidance as students explore drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media.
Beyond the studio, the educational assistant will also provide versatile support for the school’s administrative operations, assisting with office tasks and general programming needs as they arise.
