Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher Assistant to join our vibrant educational team. In this role, you will support classroom teachers in creating a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for children across various age groups. Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social skills development
- Support children with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or other special education requirements
- Help manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development, including Mother Goose and preschool methodologies
- Assist with classroom organization, materials preparation, and maintaining a safe, clean learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers and specialists to develop lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, numeracy skills, and social-emotional learning
- Provide attentive toddler care and support early childhood milestones in a nurturing setting
- Foster inclusive classroom experiences that respect diversity and promote equitable learning opportunities for all children
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in preschool or early childhood education settings is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early learning standards
- Experience supporting students with disabilities or special needs, including familiarity with IEPs and behavior management techniques
- Classroom experience in private school environments or similar educational institutions is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy/math instruction for young learners
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder enhances your candidacy
