Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Construction Project Manager to oversee ground-up multifamily apartment building projects from pre-construction through project completion. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing general contracting projects, coordinating subcontractors, controlling budgets and schedules, and ensuring successful project delivery.
You will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle from planning, construction, and closeout
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, timelines, and resource plans
- Coordinate daily construction activities and monitor overall project progress
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and project teams to ensure project requirements are met
- Review plans, drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, owners, and consultants to resolve project issues
- Oversee procurement activities, including subcontractor selection, contracts, and purchase orders
- Track project costs, invoices, change orders, and budget performance
- Identify project risks and implement effective solutions and contingency plans
- Ensure compliance with construction standards, safety requirements, and quality expectations
- Establish and maintain quality control procedures throughout construction
- Prepare project updates, reports, and documentation for clients and stakeholders
- Lead project closeout activities, including final inspections, documentation, and client handover
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Construction Project Manager
- Minimum 5 years of experience with ground-up multifamily / apartment building construction projects
- Proven experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of general contracting, construction processes, and project coordination
- Experience working with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and engineers
- Strong understanding of construction budgets, schedules, contracts, and change orders
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices
Preferred Experience
- General Contractor (GC) project management experience
- Multifamily, apartment, residential, or large-scale commercial construction background
- Experience with project scheduling, cost control, and construction documentation
