Project Manager/Sr. Consultant

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager/Sr. Consultant to lead a diverse portfolio of technology initiatives in Chicago, Illinois. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, can quickly establish structure, and is comfortable guiding projects from planning through delivery with limited oversight. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams, business partners, and third-party vendors to keep priorities aligned, resolve obstacles, and maintain steady progress across active efforts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple IT and software-focused projects from initiation through completion, ensuring objectives, schedules, and deliverables remain on track.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to coordinate activities, clarify expectations, and support successful execution.
• Build and maintain project timelines, key milestones, and status updates to provide clear visibility into portfolio progress.
• Manage project intake and lifecycle activities, helping organize priorities and move initiatives efficiently through each phase.
• Lead change management routines, including recurring meetings and follow-up actions, to keep teams aligned on updates and decisions.
• Prepare monthly reporting and ongoing status tracking to communicate achievements, risks, and upcoming priorities.
• Identify issues, dependencies, and roadblocks early, escalating concerns when needed to minimize delays and keep work advancing.
• Support a range of initiatives such as hardware deployments, system implementations, vendor onboarding, office moves, migrations, and internal IT improvements.
